"Come see us July 17-21, 2013 at San Diego Comicon, Booth #1907 in the Independent Publisher Pavilion! --NEW ZOOMIES convention special! ZOOMIES"-signed/numbered limited edtion--" "It's hard to fly over the cuckoo's nest when you're a Henn trapped in a cage." "A slice of life that begs to be discovered. "Both real and unreal funny, touching, charming!
This is pure Hollywood gold!" "Rich Henn's Zoomies is not only true, it's truly funny, truly wise, and truly, weirdly familiar. Even if you didn't grow up amidst the unhinged, the damaged and the just plain deranged, you'll know the territory. And that's not even touching on Henn's very fine storytelling abilities. Zoomies is something to be savored, and reread."
"Rich Henn's ZOOMIES is proof positive that one need only dig as deep as
their own life to pull out a tale worth telling.
" "The odd and often humorous events of Rich Henn's unique childhood, as
portrayed in his Zoomies tales, scream 'film adaptation.' Henn tells his
Zoomies stories in an accessible, cinematic style; his narrative reads like
one of the best coming-of-age/biographical comedy films I've never seen.
Whenever it may happen, I'll be the first in line for that debut!
." "Fact is stranger than fiction and tragedy turned sideways is comedy.
In the case of ZOOMIES, it's both. It's strange and funny, and yet full of
heart." "Not everyone can say they grew up in a nuthouse. Lucky me." Format--Limited Edition signed/numbered 325 copies...................$10.00 (B&W interior, color covers) The following review from MEDIASHARX.COM! What You Should Know:"Well, you should know that this is gonna be a tough comic to find since there were only about 350 of these babies printed, but you can read nearly the entire comic on-line (see the end of this review). This comic is a compilation of stories centered on a young boy that grew up in the country with his parents and a group of harmless but certifiably crazy people. And the best part about it is that its 100% true (ok, 2 panels are fiction but Ill leave it up to you to find them). So what might it be like growing up in a nuthouse? Read on and find out.
In This Issue: "Within the first few panels we get to learn everything we need to know about how and why Richs family started taking on the Zoomies (as he affectionately calls them) into their home. The Zoomies are people that were in a mental institution, but now live with his family on the farm and help out with the chores. Each of them has their own personal quirks and idiosyncrasies that make them stand out from each other, and this provides for some entertaining reading. "Slowly we get introduced to all of the Zoomies and eventually we see how they interact with each other and the family. There is not one but a few short stories told from Richs perspective. Each of them are one or two pages long and only the Pop Tart tale lasts much longer, and leaves you with a cliffhanger. I wish that the book was longer and that there were more stories, but I suppose its a sign of a good comic when you want more of it after youre finished reading it."
